Parenting is an important job. You want to get it right, and we want to help! We have a plan to help your child discover God no matter their age! There’s a lot of jumping, singing, dancing, learning, and laughter in every experience!
Birth up to age 3
(until they are potty trained and ready to move to preschool). We are so glad you are choosing to trust us with the care of your children. We can’t wait to meet them! We know things are busy at this stage of life and your children are learning and growing in amazing ways.
We partner with you for the spiritual growth of your child. It is our hope that your child will learn:
Toddler
3yr-olds will meet each week in their classrooms and learn about God in meaningful and developmentally appropriate ways through media and hands-on activities. Memory Verse: Each month nursery and preschoolers have a monthly verse with motions. Be sure to pick up a card on the nursery counter so that you can practice the verse and motions at home too!
Ages 3 years old – until the child goes to Kindergarten
We want every preschool child to know and understand three basic truths: God loves me,God made me, andJesus wants to be my friend forever.
Each month, a new Bible theme is introduced that centers around one of those three basic truths. Children learn about God through Bible stories, hands-on activities, and worship. In addition, they also have times of free play and a snack. Children begin their morning in participating in a large group time that includes interactive worship and the Bible Story. Following the large group time, preschoolers engage in activities designed to help them understand and remember the Bible story, the memory verse, and the bottom line for the day. They also begin to process how they can apply the lesson to their own lives.
Kindergarten – Grade 5
Valley Kids Elementary starts with a large group experience that includes games, skits, videos, music, and creative storytelling from God’s Word. Then, kids in the same grades break out into KidLife Groups, where they process what God is teaching them and how they’ll respond through hands-on activities and conversation.
The Valley Church Inclusion Team exists so that kids can come as they are no matter their physical, educational or behavioral needs. As a church that will do whatever it takes to reach the next generation, we never want a family to stay home because they are worried about their child’s neurodivergence, trauma, or abilities preventing them from a successful experience.
Some kids may be paired up with a volunteer inside of his/her age-specific group, others use support tools such as headphones or fidgets, and some campuses have a dedicated sensory room for kids who need a little extra support or for those who are just having an “off” day.
In either scenario, our goal is that your child will be included in Valley Kids in a way that best allows them a fun, safe, and welcoming experience encountering God’s story.

Many parents like to make a public dedication of their children to God and at the same time declare their intention to raise their children in a godly way. If you would like to dedicate a child or all your children, contact Stephanie Dollan at the Troy Campus for more information or fill out a request at the links below. Those wishing to dedicate their children are asked to complete a one-session class at 9:15 a.m. on the Sunday before the dedication.
