5-Week Sermon Series: SHAPE’d for a Purpose

5-Week Sermon Series: SHAPE’d for a Purpose

Every Sunday - October 3rd - 31st - Services at 9:15 am and 11:am

Join us in-person at The Valley church, or on-line for this sermon series

God has made each of us to be unique masterpieces - specially gifted and designed to be used for a distinct purpose. There is no one like you in all the world and no one can do exactly what you can do.

We have all been shaped in 5 key ways that make us who we are. Discovering that SHAPE reveals how God will use us in His world and what our purpose is. When we turn each of the tumblers on a combination lock we unlock the potential it holds. The same is true of our lives. When we discover how we are shaped, we unlock the unique combination that allows us to finally realize what we were created to accomplish.

Discover who you uniquely are and unleash your potential into God’s world.

Honduras Update with Dana and Mirtza Benscoter

Honduras Update with Dana and Mirtza Benscoter

Join us for either the 9:15am or 11:00 service and stay after the 11:00 service if you wish to join Dana and Mirtza for lunch and more information

Dana and Mirtza Benscoter, our missionaries on the ground in Honduras, will be coming to The Valley Piqua to preach and share the good news of what’s happening in Honduras during the services on November 14th.  Dana and Mirtza are the leaders in Honduras who spearhead The Valley’s mission of spreading the gospel in Honduras and discipling the church.  Dana will be sharing how our partner churches in Honduras are moving forward after two back-to-back hurricanes last year, the covid pandemic, and dengue fever.  He will also share how God is using the two containers of relief supplies we recently sent to meet people’s needs, leading to powerful God moments that are glorifying Him and advancing the gospel. Following the service, anyone who wants to hear more about the project, has been to Honduras or would be interested in going on the next trip, are welcome to attend a celebration lunch with Dana and Mirtza right after the 2nd service.

Baptism Sunday

Baptism Sunday

During the 9:15 and 11:00 morning services

Baptism is an outward act of obedience that represents the inward change that God has already worked in your life when you said yes to a relationship with Him. Baptism shows the redeeming power of God, and tells the world we have been made new! It represents our sinful life being washed clean because of our faith in Jesus. – Romans 6:4

For those who have chosen to follow Jesus, a great next step of obedience is to be baptized. We celebrate baptism in our worship services. This is a great day to invite your friends and family as you publicly commit your life to following Jesus.

To prepare for this day,  we offer an eight-week one-on-one Bible Study called the Journey. To sign up for the journey, simply click on this link: https://thevalley.ccbchurch.com/goto/forms/28/responses/new

Our next baptism service is on April 24th! To sign up (or click this link), fill out the form below at least two weeks prior to the service. https://thevalley.ccbchurch.com/goto/forms/29/responses/new

Questions? Contact Ryan Wright at ryan.wright@thevalley.church
