SUMMARY:Summer Mission Trip 2025
DESCRIPTION:Summer is the perfect time for a mission experience! It is an opportunity to help students tangibly use their gifts to serve others\, share their stories of what God has done in their lives\, and be challenged to love others more intentionally. We sleep at the church\, shower at the YMCA\, and have fun evenings planned as well. We had a blast a few years ago. We will be serving with Matthew 25 Ministries Global Village near Cincinnati\, Ohio which offers an immersive and educative experience into disaster relief and world missions. We will also return to Agape Ministries in Sidney\, Ohio where we may help in the community gardens\, bag groceries for shoppers at the food pantry\, and help load\, clean\, unpack\, and organize at the warehouse. We will also partner with Target Dayton that engages with unhoused persons through worship services and meals. And more! We have an exciting and intentional experience planned for teens. \nRegistration is open HERE The cost is $100 and the impact is priceless. \n

This year’s theme is Pouring out\, based on Psalm 62:8\, “Trust in him at all times\, you people; pour out your hearts to him\, for God is our refuge.” If after reading the information below you have any questions\, reach out to jessica.coulter@thevalley.church. \nWHEN IS Fall Retreat? \nNovember 1-3\, 2024 \nCheck-in at the Piqua campus 4:15pm\, Friday \nReturn to the Piqua campus 12ish\, Sunday \nWHAT AGES CAN ATTEND? \nAny student who is currently in 6th grade through current seniors in high school. Yes\, friends are welcome! This retreat is hosted by our district so all three Valley campuses attend plus other Nazarene churches in our district. \nWHERE DOES FALL RETREAT TAKE PLACE? \nCross Oak Camp and Conference Center \n272 Jack Oak Road \nSt. Marys\, OH 45885 \nWHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO AT FALL RETREAT? \nThis is a retreat where we set time aside and grow a deeper relationship with Christ. We are devoting this weekend to creating space to pour out our lives to God. There will be worship services with teaching plus games\, concerts and more. DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce SOGO 2024 is heading to… Indianapolis! Join us June 9-14 as we go to Indiana to help with outdoor projects\, volunteer at homeless shelters\, serve the community\, be involved with VBS\, and more! This trip is for completed grades 8-12. We will be partnering with an organization called YouthWorks\, who will provide our lodging and will allow us to join other youth groups from across the country! \nIf you are interested in attending\, please fill out this form. Once you have completed this\, we will reach out to you with steps on how to complete registration! \nSOGO 2024 will cost $475\, which includes transportation\, food\, lodging\, and any project supplies. We are taking less than 20 teens\, so be sure to sign up soon! Once spots are filled\, we cannot accommodate additional teens. \nStudents attending the trip will be asked to attend a few meetings prior to the mission trip.
